1948 22ft Airstream Liner, VIN #1249, Approximately 3000#

The Liner has been rebuilt to maintain its original iconic look yet be safely towed at highway speeds and camped in with many of the conveniences of a modern Airstream.

The extensive exterior restoration included replacing the original pipe frame with a 2″x4″ tubular steel ladder frame, replacing the leaf spring axle with a Dexter 3,300lb rated torsion axle, installing 3/4″ marine grade plywood floor, installing grey, black and fresh water holding tanks, polishing the exterior skin, installing two layers of Prodex insulation, a 100 watt solar panel, new running lights and two new polished aluminum LP tanks.

The original interior layout , with the slight modifications, was maintained, which includes a full-size rear bed and a front banquette that can be made into a bed. It has the original kitchen galley, that includes a SS sink, gas stove and ice box, (the ice box has been refrigerated using a 12volt Norcold ice box conversion kit, also a small microwave has been installed in the original oven). Marmoleum flooring was installed, new, cushions, and mattress, new SS wet bath with porcelain toilet installed. The original overhead bins polished, interior skin painted, polished interior end caps, new 2.5 gal electric water heater, a 105 AH Life Line AGM battery, 45 amp Intellipower converter, a 30 amp solar controller. All new pex plumbing and electrical wiring installed.

The original rebuild was completed in 2012, but has been meticulously maintained and repaired as needed. New Good Year Endurance tires have been installed. Also included is a vintage awning from Vintage Trailer Supply.
