THIS IS A WHALETAIL! SUPER RARE- A TRUE GEM.
Totally renovated. Shell off, frame rebuilt. Tiny home living, glamping – at its best! The 1954 Airstream Cruiser Whaletail was built like a tank. I also have a 1974 sovereign, but there is NO competing with the superiority of the craftsmanship, character and quality of the 54.
Documentation of the entire renovation that was performed and completed about 2 years ago are available. I will include as many as possible in this ad, but have many more.

All of the interior aluminum walls were removed and saved for reinstallation including both of the front and rear dome of which displays the beautiful historic and rare whale tail in the rear and the iconic and rare 13 panels in the front. Floor is insulated with 4 inches of rigid foam board and walls are all spray foamed closed cell for maximum R value everywhere.

Over 3.5 ft of closet space floor to ceiling, not to mention all of the storage under the bed, built ins behind the bed, and under custom built and upholstered U shaped sofa. 3 drawers in kitchen and sink base cabinet provide more storage space. In addition, the original beautifully crafted metal upper cabinets were preserved and restored. Brand new solid wood paneled doors and all brand new exact replica latches and rooster catches. Much of the replica 50s airstream products were purchased from the vintagetrailersupply website. There are 5 of these beautiful original upper cabinets, 3 in the kitchen, 2 in the bedroom.
A vintage small LP stove and oven was installed that fits into the charm of this piece of history and it works perfectly. Electric Fridge/freezer has plenty of room too at 4.5 cubic feet.
Sleeps 4. Bedroom has full size mattress. The U shaped sofa which is custom upholstered in a beautiful velvet-like material also becomes a full size bed.
Replica original porchlight, bargman style entrance door handle, door within a door etc, etc.
There’s too much to mention and there aren’t the right words to describe the charm, character, and quality of this airstream. The only thing
that it yet needs to be buffed to mirror. However, the exterior skin as it is isn’t dull. Obviously polished, the value just increases. As is the case with the older it gets – more rare, more value.
I love when my wife and I pull this trailer, the thumbs up from other drivers! This airstream just incites pride and excitement in people and campers, but especially people that know about the special and rare WHALETAIL beauty! I have the title and registration.

Contact Seller
Consider these tips in order to send or receive payment safely.
Know the vehicle’s market value
Be very suspicious of any vehicle priced significantly below market value. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Confirm contact information
Verify the seller’s physical address and phone number BEFORE SENDING PAYMENT. Zip codes, area codes and addresses should match up.
Use email wisely
Do not send personal or financial information (such as your social security number, credit card number or checking account number) to a seller via email. Email communications are not secure.
Do not use money transfer services, such as Western Union to pay for online purchases
Even Western Union recommends against using their service or similar services to pay for online purchases. Be cautious about any seller who will only accept a money transfer.
If using an escrow service for payment, make sure it is a reputable, valid escrow service
Some buyers, purchasing outside their local area, may consider using an escrow service. If so, make sure it is a legitimate service. Go directly to the website of the escrow service. Do NOT go to an escrow service through a link in the seller’s e-mail or use a service based on a referral from the seller. Check the web address to make sure you are at the valid website.
Get a detailed receipt
Ask the seller for a receipt that states whether the Airstream is being sold with a warranty or “as is.”
Get title to the vehicle
Make sure you know what’s required in your state to transfer title to the vehicle you’re buying.
Confirm contact information
Be wary of buyers willing to purchase your item sight-unseen, especially buyers located overseas. Always verify the buyer’s street address and valid phone number.
Verify that a certified check is genuine
Verify authenticity with the issuing bank prior to depositing a certified check. Make sure the account contains sufficient funds and the issuing bank guarantees payment on the check. Once deposited in your account, it may take a week or more for the check to clear. Acceptance by your bank does not guarantee the check is valid and funds are available. A cashier’s check can take 30 days or more to clear.
Secure payment first
Do not transfer the title until you have payment in hand at the agreed upon price (and you have verified that the payment is valid.
Beware of overpayment or other complicated payment schemes
Do not agree to any plan where the buyer asks to send a check for more than the sale price and requests that the seller refund the difference. Be suspicious of any buyer who proposes making payment through a friend or agent of the buyer.
File a report. File a report at www.ic3.gov with the Internet Crime Complaint Center, a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C), and the Bureau of Justice Administration (BJA). IC3 gives victims of cyber crime a convenient and easy-to-use reporting mechanism.
