Regretfully selling our almost all original 1955 9 panel whale tail airstream 16’ bubble. We are the 4th owner with an amazing back story of history on the trailer. A woman who was part of the French revolutionary army migrated to the east coast of the untited states where she became involved in the fashion industry, then toured the east coast after purchasing the airstream brand new. She then sold it to a couple in Reno, which they sold to my buddy who was a San Jose firefighter whom passed. We then bought it from his wife and only took it to 2 Vintage trailer rallies with the last one in Pismo. Mostly original with changes including refrigerator, added battery box and 12v water pump, tv and newly installed main 30 amp rv plug. Very comfortable layout for such a compact trailer with one toilet. Original propane heater in the floor as well as stove which worked at time of purchase. We’ve never used it since the previous owner because we were always towing with our sprinter van and always used the stove, shower and bath in the van to not put anymore wear on the trailer. It has a spare tire that sits in a welded in trailer hitch receiver on rear bumper. Sports dual mount propane tanks up front for all your propane needs. Awning in pic comes with the trailer as well. Has bias ply tires which you can change to radials if you prefer. All the electrical is currently in working order. 2” ball hitch, with a gross weight about 1750 lbs makes this trailer tow amazing with almost any car. The only things that need to be repaired is the bathroom door and side cabinet is starting to delaminate, dinette window screen need to be repaired and there is no step and very minor other details if you wanted it perfect.
