I have a rare, 1957 26’ Overlander built for the Southern Pacific Railroad. This was the first year these were ever built for the railroad companies. Not only is it early airstream but you get the railroad history that goes along with it. This is a tandem axle and notice the different floor plan. It has a twin bunk in the back, a mid bathroom, and originally a bunk in the front. Also notice different window locations than a standard Overlander in 57. I do have a clean title registered to me. S/N 6850.
Wheelbearings have been checked and packed. Good wheels and tires have been installed (I do have three original split rim wheels and hubcaps). All exterior ( towing ) lights work. Hitch and coupler are in good shape so it is towable now. I did check the 120V system and all the interior lights, plugs and circuit breakers work. I did not check the 12V lighting. All of the open windows in photos work, but the others are missing parts or have broken mechanisms. The top appears to be in good shape, the sides are pretty good (a few wrinkles), but the belly skin has taken a beating. It certainly needs a complete makeover, but early 26’ railroad trailers are scarce. It is located in southern Oregon. You can tow it away or I will deliver it to a shipper in my area, if necessary. $9500.00
