1960 Safari. Very rare ‘letterbox’ or stacked bunk bed rear windows. 21 foot long on the coach, 24 foot overall inc hitch.

Shell has 8″ dimple if one of the front right curved sections, should pull or push out quite easily. There’s a horizontal scrape on right side between the bunk windows. Other than that the 7 curved section shell, (inner shell is also all aluminum and undented) is in great shape. Underpan nearly totally intact and complete. The floor plywood will need repacing around the door.

The windows all work but missing a few handles, rear window needs replacing. Three roof vents, two with Fan-Tastic fans, one at front needs plexiglass cover. No leaks. Oven maybe needs replacing, could be reconditioned. Norcold 110 volt and propane fridge probably works. There’s a RV500 early tankless 12V electronic propane water heater which also probably works.There is a black water tank, and a blue water tank, but no water or drain line from the kitchen. Shower tub and bathroom sink work but aren’t too pretty. Same for the toilet.

Tires have 8mm tread and are not cracked and whilst not new are definately good for a long tow. Electric brakes themselves work well, but you’ll need to check wiring to the hitch. Bearing are quiet, cool and recently packed. Tows really well, has a anti-snake bar on hitch, and remnants of weight distributing bars. Two 10 gallon propane tanks (needs recertification).

This was my beloved Airstream I bought and renovated back in 1986, the stickers show I was an very early VAC (Vintage Airstream Club) member and an ‘Online Airstream’ as well as WBCCI #6526. Unfortunately life turned a corner and I had to neglect it for 14 years. I hope it will be given a third reincarnation.
