This is a 1962 Trade Wind trailer by Airstream in Jackson Center, OH. It is 24′ in length and is dual axel.

We purchased this vintage Airstream in 2016 and had it professionally renovated and polished by Vintage Trailer Masters in Bend, Oregon. They have been wonderful to work with whenever we wanted to add upgrades. We were able to participate in many groups like Tin Can Tourists, Rollin’ Oldies Vintage Trailer Club, and the Wally Byam Caravan Club International and met hundreds of super people. It’s extremely comfortable to live in, and tows like a dream. Dry weight is around 4250 lbs. Tows easy with our V8 SUV. We added a battery powered jack in 2019.

The interior textiles were updated, and the exterior was polished again in 2020. The exterior is in great shape considering it’s age, and there are only a few minor dings, but they don’t detract from it’s beauty. There is a spacious exterior storage hatch under the bed area, and we had sewer hose storage tubes mounted underneath the bumper. I has two 33lb. propane tanks that we had painted silver. We also had a tankless water heater installed so there is unlimited hot water. In 2018 we had a certified appraisal done by Polk Associates Professional Appraisers, LLC, so she comes with pedigreed paperwork. We are not considering trades unless its something that can PULL a 45′ toy hauler. We keep it coveredered when she’s not in use to maintain the lovely polish. Clean clear Oregon Title, Special Permit Plates for a vintage vehicle so you’ll never have to renew them.

The interior features a dinette that we updated to look like the newer Airstreams “Grand Lounge”. We kept the original table so that the lounge can convert to a large sleeping area for kids or guests. Seats 4-5 people comfortably around the pedestal table. The cabinets and wood work were sanded and stained in a more updated cool grey tone. The flooring is Pergo laminate flooring in a light grey beech wood. The Dometic refrigerator not original, but was upgraded years ago an is electric only. The original refrigerator cabinet was torn out and we had a customized multi purpose pantry storage unit built which houses the following: A tall skinny multi-shelf pantry for food storage or dishes. It also houses a generous broom closet by the entry door. The furnace is functioning but we never use it, we prefer to use a small portable space heater if needed. Cable hookups were also added to this cabinet and the 22″ TV is on a swivel mount so you can watch TV from the lounge or in bed. We had a new Air Conditioner and Fantastic Fan installed in 2019 and a new astrodome. The rear sleeping quarters were originally bunk beds that were removed and now accommodate a full size custom mattress and added 6 drawers of storage under the bed. Across from the bed there are two spacious closets that are separated by a small vanity which has more storage and drawers below. All countertops (kitchen, bathroom, vanity) were updated with a warm honey stained bamboo. The kitchen sink has an updated modern gooseneck faucet, and the dual stainless steel sinks and Wedgewood cooktop/oven are original and in full working condition. The interior walls were repainted recently in a cool grey. The bathroom in the rear of the trailer features a newer toilet and we refinished the tub from the dull almond to a bright white. We had the old sink removed and added a beautiful glass vessel sink a complimentary stainless steel modern faucet. There is plenty of storage under the bathroom sink area as well. This is a park model so no grey water tank, will need to be hooked into sewer for showers. We do have an 25 gallon exterior portable grey water tank if there aren’t hookups. Although it’s not pictured hanging the custom bathroom shower curtain matches the bathroom window curtains which are grey with a tasteful retro vintage flamingo print. I am a professional seamstress and did all the cushions and curtains myself in a very appealing color palate of cool greys, taupe, and greyish dark blues. This trailer was used for both our business and for pleasure, but we’re ready to upgrade to something a little newer. I will include the retro aqua awning and poles as it is waterproof.
