When we bought this Airstream trailer, it had been completely gutted and was a blank slate for us to build however we wanted. It has been professionally renovated from the floor up. The 12V and 120V wiring have been redone. There’s a brand new 120V to 12V converter and 2 new lithium batteries. The plumbing has been completely replaced with pex and a new water heater. The bedroom was moved to the back with a double bed. The bathroom was moved to the side with a good-sized shower and a composting toilet.

While this lovely Airstream has been across the country many times, and pulled like a dream, I think those days are behind her. She’s spent the last 5 years as a very successful ($2000+/month; 4.9 stars on Airbnb) short term rental for us. To make her ready to conquer the open road again, she would need a shell-off rebuild of her 63-year-old frame and axles. So, if you’re looking for a short term rental or a cute, cozy little place for visiting family to stay in, she’s the trailer for you.

We’d love it if we could keep her and park her on our property for another 10 years, but we need the cash for a down payment so we can buy our new place.
