This1963 Airstream Bambi is an Ohio built Serial 163T180

The Bambi has undergone a total body and frame off restoration. The interior walls and end caps were removed, cleaned, stripped, sealed and covered with the correct period Zolatone paint. New Roxul brand mineral wool insulated, new wiring, receptacles and 12 v wiring.
Exterior skin was resealed from the inside. Seams, rivets checked and sealed.
The subfloor is Dragon Marine Plywood coated with West System Epoxy Resin. Window frames were removed from the body and rebuilt with new glass, seals, butyl and buck riveted back onto the body.
All new hardwood maple trim and veneer plywood replaced all cabinetry to the period floor plan and cabinet style.
Original and reproduction hardware and light fixtures converted to 12v.
Frame restored and POR 15 painted, frame channels welded shut to prevent rodent passage. 15 gallon gray tank built into frame with separate gray valve and tank drain. Front-A frame has an original storage compartment to carry dump hose and connectors.

New 3500 lb Dura Torque axle, wheels, ST tires and Mooneye aluminum wheel covers with Deuz fasteners. New aluminum belly pan.
The electrical system has been improved with the addition of an Electrical Management System, Electrical Control Center with AC and 12v panel and battery charger. Also a Solar Control Panel with an exterior input Plug for a free standing Solar Panel. AMG battery.
Heat provided by a Olympic Wave 3 LP Safety Heater.
23 gallon fresh water tank with gravity fill, hose connect, new 12v pump, and floor drain.

New Suburban 6 gal. LP water Heater with interior wall switch spark ignition lighting. Original restored shower stall/black tank wet bath with new Dometic toilet and spray hose.
New faucets for galley and shower, PEX plumbing. Original sink, three burner cooktop an original style LP gas Dometic refrigerator with manual and temperature controlled cooling fans.
Roof vent is a Dometic gray flat vintage style Fantastic Fan. Power line and drain in place for future air conditioner installation if desired and interior frame at roof reinforced.
Double on/off warning light for water pump. 12v Charger in closet for devices. Furrion 30 amp power inlet and Power Cord w/led light. Camco black/gray dump line. Camco water heater bypass, with Pre pump winterizer bypass kit options added.
New upholstery foam and fabric, curtains and exterior window shades matching new Vintage style pole Awning. Interior fabric is Sunbella Heritage recycled indoor/outdoor fabric. Floor is Armstrong Vinyl Composite Tiles.

There was almost no expense spared as the price reflects to restore this trailer and improve the systems for current use. A professional Appraisal was obtained and the Bambi won the Vintage Airstream Club Concours d Elegance Platinum Award and Bill Scott Best Bambi Award.

This Bambi is an Ohio example of the California model in the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art, NY.
