1963 AIRSTREAM GLOBETROTTER FOR SALE

Very clean only two owners

Acquired in 2012 from the original owner who purchased it new in 1963. We brought it home and stored it in a climate controlled building where it has remained since 2012.

Airstream trailers made prior to 1965 were still made with aircraft tensile aluminum and those tensile aluminum panels were secured with unique drive rivets that required two people to install each individual rivet. This trailer falls into that category.

The original owner had it professionally restored in South Carolina in 2007. During the restoration the exterior was cleaned and buffed, interior was cleaned, and new laminate flooring was installed which is still in perfect condition.

This Airstream is nearly all original with only the floors, some mechanics, and the commode replaced. The counter tops that go over the stove top and sink are in excellent shape and original. We have the original commode which was replaced with a newer self contained model and the original will be included in the sale.

Original items include: all inside wall mounted light fixtures, refrigerator even the pin that holds the refrigerator closed is original , gas cook stove is stainless steel needs cleaned and two knobs are missing , kitchen sink, bathroom sink and bathtub, all faucets and hardware (tub, hand held shower, kitchen sink and bathroom sink), medicine cabinet , mirror above bathroom sink, all wood cabinets in kitchen and other areas, dining table, and outdoor awning. Many additional items are original to this 1963 Globetrotter.

The awning and tires show wear with age and probably will need replaced. The couch cushions were reupholstered approximately five years ago with 60 s style fabric/vinyl and all wood inside trailer has been given a coat of polyurethane. The pull down recessed steps that go to the front door are in like new condition.

This Globetrotter has been parked in our climate controlled building since 2012. At the time of parking it, all mechanics were operational.

The condition and limited use of this vintage Airstream makes it a very rare find.
