1963 Refurbished Airstream Land Yacht for sale. Asking $15,000. Located in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. Early 1960s models are quite popular with a committed fan base, as they were built to last and holds value in its Americana nostalgia. It was gutted and refurbished in 2013 with the original layout on a frame in good condition. Floor is marine grade plywood. Features new electric and new PEX water pipes. Working fridge and original AC. Comes with a propane catalytic heater and hose. Original thick mil aluminum shell characteristic of the vintage airstream trailers. Interior walls have been previously disassembled to add spray foam insulation and then re-riveted back together. Custom carpentry interior featuring cabinets, drawers, sitting area, pull out bed and 2 countertop spaces. Pull out bed fits a double futon and can be folded to be used as a couch as well. 2 original sinks with drain plumbing installed. Kitchen sink is hooked up to a pressure reducer inlet and ready to go. Rear sink ready to be connected with PEX. No toilet, but toilet flange and drain already installed, or composting toilet could be easily added. Shower installed with original tub. A vented cubby is installed in the side if you would like to add a water heater, we could recommend a model that fits. Unit measures 24 feet from hitch to rear and 20 feet inside. Windows are crank operated. Hardware is old so some windows open more easily than others. Tires could stand to be replaced soon but they should be fine for transport. Electrical outlets and lighting installed and working. Lots of storage under sitting area and bed frame.

Overall it is in good solid condition, however, it is old and it is single axle so we can’t necessarily recommend it for long term cross country use unless frame and axel are inspected. It would be perfect for an airbnb glamping rental, where you could make your money back in a year or two!

This trailer is old and the title has gotten lost in translation, before we owned it. However, we were able to get it legally registered and pay tax on it in Vermont, so that is an option if you were hoping to travel with it and needing a license plate.
