1966 Airstream Caravel, 17ft plus tongue and bumper box = 21 ft overall

Price drop – MOTIVATED SELLER

I have owned and enjoyed this charming vintage Caravel since 2019. I’m selling at this time because I’m moving and I’m unable to bring it along. Work that has been done during my time of ownership includes, replacement of rear subfloor under bathroom (done with shell on) installed new toilet, new shower head, added new black and gray tanks, reassembled bathroom and sealed outer rear skin. Replaced laminate countertop, installed new kitchen faucet, replaced water heater and added interior on/off switch (no more having to light a pilot). Also, updated electrical panel, added new outlets behind refrigerator and an exterior outlet on door side. Changed battery to an AGM type (vented) and added a battery kill switch. Added wired in smoke/carbon monoxide detector. Replaced wheels, tires are about 2 years old. Spare tire also has new rim, its tire is unused but aprox 6 yrs old. Replaced old propane tanks with new aluminum tanks, still mostly full. The door opened once while towing, had latch repaired and put in a deadbolt for security. I preferred having a dedicated bed and I’m only 5’5” so I put a 6inch memory foam mattress at the front window. Taller people would use the longer bed on the side. Included are all of the curved cushions that fit where I have the mattress. Also included is the original dining table (not shown). Stovetop works but oven does not. Air conditioner age unknown but it works fine. Exterior is in overall pretty decent condition. Some smaller dings and scratches, as expected for any 59 year old.
Around 2012 the previous owner had the torsion axle replaced, had step refurbished, added rear storage box, added an electric tongue jack, polished exterior. On the interior they re-plumed with PEX, replaced the refrigerator (electric or propane, it is in working order) refinished door fronts, replaced flooring, and painted. I have screenshots of much of the previous work that was done from a website where the pics were posted.
For transparency, some cons; Heater was removed by previous owner. Currently there is a Mr Buddy connected to the propane, recommend having a new heater installed. The lower portion of the molded fiberglass wet bath has multiple age related fine cracks. Front and rear windows are plexiglass, side and door windows are curved glass. There’s a mark on the floor left by the spare tire.(pictured) I’ll give you the washable rug that I cover it with if you want it. Last time I dry camped the water pump did not work. I have not investigated why it’s not working. Might be a fuse or it might need replaced.
I have lots of extras that I’ll give to the buyer if they want them. Proven industries hitch lock, weight distribution and sway bar, rubber chocks, tire covers, and more I’m sure. Curtains are included, my dog, bedspread, pillows and decor is not included. I included an old ad and floor plan that I found online.
Trailer is being sold in as is condition.
