A very special 24′ 1966 Tradewind that maintains as much of the original interior and character as possible while having been restored with many new, very functional features for the modern camper! We have owned this Tradewind for 10 years and had much of the work professionally done photos, receipts, and paperwork can be provided for all the restoration work.

We have towed the Tradewind many places and she is a pleasure to tow, travel, cook, and adventure in! Our enjoyment was keeping things as original as possible during the restoration she is a time capsule and just beautiful.

Some of the work that was done in the initial restoration 2012 :

rear bathroom removed and rotted subfloor replaced. All subfloor covered with a marine grade varnish and top/bottom aluminum skin reattached. This is a solid vintage Airstream now, ready for another 50 years of adventures!

new axles, electric brakes, tires last replaced June 2022

1966 Tradewind double serial SO 24 6549 purchased from Central Trailer Exchange in Seattle, April 1966. 24′, weight 4080 lbs, hitch weight 418 lbs.

Please see the extensive photographs in the listing and feel free to call me with any questions. The exterior skin is in good condition, but the photos show a couple of dents/creases in the rear where I bumped into the garage roof line . The windows are the corning curved glass without any trim used for several years during this period. It’s a very sleek look. All the windows are functioning and roll open easily and are sealed. The fridge works well on electric, stopped switching over to gas and we haven’t repaired this as we rarely run in on gas anymore. The fresh water tank is behind the front sofa and the pump works well.
