1968 Trade Wind. Gutted and ready for whatever is next. Floor is solid, lights work, tires are new. Brand new jack and safety chains. Hitch accepts 2″ ball. Ready to tow anywhere.
This trailer has a lot of dings, dents, patches, and other minor imperfections. There are small scrapes or bruises on every side. If you’re looking to restore something to perfect original shape, pass this one up.
Somebody put blobs of silicone on most of the rivets, and some of the seams. If that bothers you, it will take some doing to remove all of it.
The cast aluminum door frame has a crack at the lock set. Door closes, but hangs out a little at the bottom. Thought about brazing it, but the metal is thin. You can be the one to fix or replace it.
There is a spot about 12″ long at the very rear of the camper that is missing rivets from a dent that has mostly been pounded out. I have it sealed with aluminum silicone.
It would make a great food truck, or primitive camper.
There were four leaks that I believe I have addressed. We will see the next time it rains.
Would consider trades for two-door Jeep Cherokees or Wranglers, 4Runners or Toyota pickups.
