An 'as is' 1969- 21' Globetrotter single axel Land Yacht trailer. Parked for about 30 years and used for a casita and guitar practice room. Brought up from Louisiana to Northern New Mexico and parked on a concrete slab. I purchased it with hopes of restoration, but only replaced flooring around doorway and all new upholstery.
This is the iconic shape and style Airstream that people think of today as 'Airstream', developed and introduced in 1969.
This has been left alone with a few upgrades: new tires (10 miles) and removal of the refrigerator. All else is stock and period. No changes.
Body is in very nice condition with no dents, hail, creases etc. Should polish up well. Frame appears un-rusted by visual appearance, axel condition is unknown, but it drove fine during relocation of 30 miles. Ceiling shows no sign of water leakage, no stains what-so-ever. Windows are in need of work, but do not leak, have screens and lock tight. Bath is completely original. Stove, heater and sink are as found original. Roof air conditioner and TV mast are weather trashed. Rear window is cracked. Running lights are trashed.
No appliances have been turned on or tried. Water storage holding tank is frozen/cracked and copper tubing probably as well. Formica is coming loose from counters. Some cabinet drawer bottoms show signs of water. (it almost looks as if it might have had snow blown in with door opened ?). Water damage to sill above sink due to window left open during rain. All this happened prior to my purchase, (3 years ago). I've had it parked with no water or any occurrences.
Depending on your use, needs minor or complete re-do. It is tight overall with lots of storage compared to newer similar models. ( I just purchased a 22' Caravel 2024)
