This Beautiful airstream Not sure if it is a land yacht or an Overlander, both names are on the side!!!! entered my life a few years ago as a “must have this honey ordeal” YES, another girl obsessed with vintage trailers, but times change and this thing called aging has gotten in the way, so off she goes into her next life. That’s the thing about these…. if loved they can last forever. This airstream was driven into this property and was used by a family that took it to Mexico (they were the original owners) and we were told it was in working order. I of course attacked this creature and cleaned until there was nothing left to clean.

Lets start with the outside.
There are no specific dents, the roof does not leak, all the windows are in working order and they lock and the screens are all present (except the front side) who knows what happened but shortly after our arrival to Tucson this year the window was totally shattered. We have no idea what happened, this is probably the reason I am selling it…..because my husband just doesn’t want to deal with it. We had it polished and there are things that need to be reapplied like the aluminum strips that seem like decoration ( they have to be riveted back on and the letters also. We have some of the outside lights for replacement. I have kept every little part. The back bumper needs that cover put back on and the front probably needs touching up to fire up the LP tanks ( I don’t have those ) But I do have the attachment connections. Basically, we have never really used the gas or the plumbing. We have plugged it in and listened to the radio and been amazed that the lights work. Oh the AC unit on the top I have been told is shot.
Let go inside where I have been entertained. The flooring is amazing, we have had no issues, it is solid. I came across some new industrial carpet from Sky Harbor airport and had to have it. Its got this really thick rubber backing and I had it professionally installed, I figured it was built for battle and it would provide a wonderful layer of insulation, for cold and heat. I sanded and refinished some of the cabinetry. All of the interior cabinets are original, the ones below the beds are in need of attention. I guess I don’t have a good picture of the living room but it has a table that slides out and the sofa makes into a bed.
The upholstery is also completely redone with a heavy fabric also built to last, including the original beds and they are super comfy. I had the curtains made and they are installed now. The kitchen has an amazing stove and the burners are immaculate. I am not sure if the refrigerator works, I think not? But it also has most of the parts and some damage at the top of the door in the interior, I was told that could be fixed but I was thinking before you do that it would make more sense to just put a new one in. We have owned it since March of 2017 and each year we put insulation in all the windows and poison before we lock her up. We have never had one mouse in it or a desert creature. Like I said we have not fired it up so I’m not sure about the bathroom either. All the parts are there and it also is all original.

I guess here is where if you’re interested you should really just come and have a look. It is amazing that so much of it is original and those front windows are amazing, well except the small shattered one now. My husband is the one that can tell you more of the things you would most be interested in that make this creature work but frankly you would be better served with an in person review.
