Just reduced from $24,900.00 We have a 1969/1970 vintage 29′ Airstream Ambassador Land Yacht for sale. The serial number says 1970, but most of the interior looks like a 1969 (transition year I believe). Very original. We have done some plumbing with PEX, replaced the air conditioner, replaced the refrigerator (AC and LP), custom made window coverings, reupholstered and new foam on front pull out bed and beds in the rear (last year), exterior front window protector, Zip-Dee awning (5 years ago), new tires, electric brakes and bearings repacked two years ago, new tires and other items I’m not remembering. We’ve worked hard to keep the Airstream as original as possible. Please see the photos to see that it is mostly original. We have been camping with this Airstream over the past 15 years. We are selling because the kids are in college and when we camp, we will tent camp in the BWCA. This is ready to go camping! I don’t think that this Airstream is a “gut and rebuild” project. There are a couple things that need to be done. The stove top works well, but could use a powder coating job to bring it back to its original-like condition. There are a couple dents that could be pulled out by an auto body person (see photos). The electric tongue jack works, but I have been hooking up a 12 volt jump box to make it work, because I believe there is a ground issue. Floor coverings (carpet) shows wear and may need to be replaced. We were going to replace the carpeting, but thought whoever buys it should decide on what the flooring should be. Sub-floor seems solid. As a side note, we have never polished the airstream. It would look awesome if you want to polish it up, but I did not do it because I worried about keeping up the shine. We will provide a bill of sale. We do not have a title, but I could start the process of getting one or leave that up to you. We spoke to a lawyer, and it sounds like a title may not be necessary because of the age of the airstream.
