Have an Airstream for sale?

Selling your Airstream doesn’t have to be a hassle. We’ll help you get the best price, quickly and easily.

HUGE cash maker as a Airbnb property! This 1972 vintage Airstream was lovingly retrofitted to be a full-time apartment. All the comforts of home (flushing toilet, shower, queen bed, AC) with all the charm of a classic 1972 Airstream Land Yacht. At 31’ this is a legitimate “tiny home” at 400 square feet that feels spacious for 1-2 people.

Amenities: Stovetop with oven, 2 basin sink in kitchen, regular house flushing toilet, standard size shower (30”x30”), flat-screen smart TV in bedroom, queen size bed (bought in 2023) with super comfy topper, couch, retro mini fridge/freezer. The bed lifts up for a super amount of storage underneath. All the decorations and linens used as the airbnb can be sold with it if you will use it as a rental – we can figure out a fair cost for those.

History: this baby was lovingly retrofitted by Kelly, a handy dad, who tore it down to the studs and rebuilt it with his daughter’s keen eye for design. He sprayed extra insulations in the walls, laid the wood floor with extra strong adhesive and everything in between (so that includes new plumbing and electrical)! We were looking at buying an airstream and redoing it ourselves, but so glad we got one already retrofitted because it took Kelly almost one whole year to fix this up! His daughter lived in it for a few years, but moved on. We bought it in 2024 and ran it as an Airbnb for 15 months.

We are unfortunately having to sell this dream Airstream because we were using it as a second source of income (we made on average $3,400 to $4,400/month) renting it out through Airbnb. Sadly, our city has a law that I was unaware of that doesn’t allow overnight stays in RV’s! The city to the north of us (Paso Robles) and several cities to the south of us allow RV’s as Airbnb’s – just not our city. Major bummer to us and our second source of income!

Considerations: Since this is retrofitted it no longer has holding tanks or 12-volt DC power. You have to hook it up for long-term use (to sewer, water and 120-volt AC or “regular house” power). If you wanted to retrofit it back to self-contained that would be a bit of work, but doable. It is road-worthy to tow where you need though, as Kelly put new tires on it in 2023 and had the wheel bearings packed and greased.

The water heater is now outside the airstream, so you will need to have a place to set it (we just set it outside on the backside) or buy a new one for inside.

The windows open (most of them) but they are hard to close. We didn’t get them fixed because we didn’t want guests opening them, then leaving them open during rain and getting water damage inside. So the guests would use the 3 roof vents (1 with an automatic fan) to get fresh air inside or the roof heater/AC unit when needed.

Overall the unit is in pristine condition. It is gorgeous! In about 3-4 years you will want to get it buffed again if super shiny is your style preference. (We do have the buffers you need and can through those in free of charge.) But other than that, everything works great, and you really have to see it to fall in love. I would be happy to a Facetime tour with you, too!

Payment: cash or bank wire transfer, no money orders or personal checks.
