For Sale: 1972 Airstream Sovereign – Vintage Elegance, Road-Ready Reliability

Turn heads wherever you go with this beautifully restored 1972 Airstream Sovereign, a 31-foot icon of American travel. With its timeless aluminum shell, modern updates, and fully road-ready setup, this trailer is ideal for cross-country trips, Airbnb hosting, or a backyard guest suite or office.

🛠️ Upgrades & Features:
* Refurbished windows – all open and close properly
* Fresh interior paint throughout
* New laminate flooring
* Butcher block countertop with a live edge and sink
* New bathroom tile and sinks
* New window shades
* Full sized fridge and freezer

🚐 Fully Road-Ready – Safety & Towing Upgrades: Unlike many vintage Airstreams that are best left stationary, this one has been fully prepped for the road with a recent safety inspection and major towing component upgrades:
* Brand new tires
* New brakes
* New battery with built in trickle-charger (powers select lights)
* New towing harness plug
* New safety tow chains
* New tongue jack (for easy hitching and leveling)
* All exterior towing lights (brake lights, turn signals, and markers) replaced and fully operational

⚠️ What Still Needs Work:
* Water heater and related plumbing – previous owner didn’t properly winterize so the water heater busted (brand new water heater included with sale, I just didn’t get around to having it installed)
* A few outlets went out – the RV used a 30-amp RV plug. I had it plugged in to a normal outlet at home via “dogbone” adapter. I just have tried to draw too much power so a fuse must have went out. I haven’t gotten around to having an electrician fix it yet.
* Small leak around stove vent – there is an exhaust vent where the gas stove used to be (it’s now just counter space). When there is hard rain, there is a small drip right there. Guessing it is caused by a failed sealant or loose rivets. Haven’t gotten around to fix this yet either.

📦 Why I’m Selling: We’ve relocating to Austin, and the new home doesn’t have room for the trailer—otherwise, I’d keep it. I used the Airstream as a home office at my old house, and it served beautifully in that role. While I had dreams of family road trips, our kids are still a bit too young, so it ended up seeing fewer adventures than I had hoped. Rather than keep it in storage, I’d love to see someone else enjoy it.

✨ Real talk before you come look: This 1972 Airstream is 50+ years old, so expect a vintage vibe — it’s not a brand-new rig. It’s priced affordably, great bones, and a blank canvas for someone handy or creative. It’ll take some TLC, but that’s the charm (and why it’s not $100K+).

🚚 Delivery: Free delivery within 250 miles of Austin, TX. Anything beyond that is negotiable.
