This is beautiful 51 year old Airstream that underwent a professional frame off restoration in 2015. The entire length of the frame was boxed to stiffen it, the tail of the overhang was reinforced to stop the separation issues the longer AS had. most of the cross beams and outriggers were replaced with factory AS parts. The ball coupler was replaced and new Dexter Torsion axles bearings and brakes were installed. The entire subfloor was with 3/4″ marine grade plywood {original is only 5/8″} and the edges were milled down to fit into the 5/8″ floor to wall channel extrusion. The plywood was also entirely coated in a product called Red Hot which is a rubber roll on product that is used to seal under shower pans. The floor is completely waterproof. The walls and under the subfloor were all sprayed with and ECO-Green 2 part expanding foam insulation for the highest R-factor rating possible. The entire interior aluminum was replaced all new marine grade aluminum 5′ x 10′ sheets. Over 5000 rivets have been replaced and bucked. New heat pump style roof heater and A/C. All wiring 110v and 12v have been replaced. All plumbing had been professionally replaced with PEX and brass crimp on fittings. It has NO tanks for boondock camping but with connect to any campground with hookups. It was built as a live in with a rear bedroom with a queen size mattress, brand new never used still in the factory package, and a huge storage area underneath a liftable bed that also has storage compartments all around accessable without lifting the bed. There are 2 closet areas for hanging clothes. The bathroom is beautiful with a one piece industrial grade vinyl sheet floor that looks like concrete, a 1 piece custom fitted fiberglass 36′ x 36′ shower for no leak issues. A cool wood pullman with one piece sink and counter top. It has a full size home porcelain toilet tank and bowl and an Insta-hot water heater large enough to run the sink and shower wide open all day. The propane tanks were purchased new in 2015 so they are current certified for many more years and I just replaced the automatic switch over valve and hoses to make sure its safe in spring 2023. I also just put brand new tires on it that have never been used so no flats. The kitchen is awesome with custom cabinets and a beautiful maple butcher block countertop a new in 2015 3 burner stove with nice size oven. It has a 110v only apartment size refridgerator. There is no dining table as we used a mahogany folding table and chairs to keep the large open living room space. It has a brand new battery for the 12v exterior lights and trailer brake breakaway.
This unit was just repolished to mild shine. The floors in the living room, kitchen and rear bedroom are Eucalyptus hardwood and are beautiful and the dividing walls for the bathroom are 1×6 cedar tongue and groove to allow movement and save space.
