Beautiful, fully restored, modernized 1973 Airstream Ambassador with a complete shell off restoration. Everything in this trailer is brand new, including all fixtures, cabinets, mattresses, seating, heating and cooling systems, electrical systems, plumbing, flooring, and entire interior.

Trailer is configured for either full hookup or off grid applications. Includes a complete AM Solar Hybrid Power System with 400W of Zamp solar panels, Victron 50A solar charger, Victron Multiplus 3000VA Inverter/Charger, dual 200Ahr Lithium Ion batteries, and all associated auxiliary equipment required for an completely integrated electrical system. Camp on grid or off grid, either way you’re completely set up.

Trailer is located in central Tennessee. Can arrange to personally deliver the trailer to anywhere in the continental US. Have extensive library of renovation pictures that can be made available upon request from seriously interested parties.

Originally a rear bath configuration, renovation converted trailer to a center bath with dual twin rear beds.

Work performed is summarized below.

Chassis/Exterior

A complete body (shell) off restoration has been performed on this trailer.

The chassis has been completely refurbished. Original frame was in outstanding condition and required only minor repairs. Frame was sandblasted and ground down to bare metal. Primed and repainted using POR 15 paint system.

New plywood subfloor installed. All plywood sheets treated with two coats of marine epoxy sealer.

New galvanized steel in-belly rear storage compartment (custom made).

New aluminum belly pan. All original banana wraps professionally refurbished and polished.

All windows and window frames were removed and completely restored to original condition. Window hardware was refurbished or replaced with new if necessary. All gaskets and sealants were replaced with new. All window glass was polished and professionally tinted. All window screens were completely refurbished and polished, new screen mesh installed.

All exterior trim, nameplates, and attached accessories were removed and refurbished. Trailer shell was then stripped and polished to a bright finish. Refurbished trim and accessories were reinstalled using buck rivets as original.

A complete new ZipDee awning package was installed, including full length awnings on both sides and a rear window awning. Upgraded Sunbrella awning fabric was used for this installation.

Refurbished stabilizers, sand blasted to bare metal and repainted. All new hardware used.

New E rated Goodyear Endurance tires with new aluminum rims.

Undercarriage spare tire carrier installed with new E rated Goodyear Endurance tire mounted on aluminum rim as spare. Spare tire and rim are the same as the main tires.

Two new 3500 lbs Dexter axles, brakes, and shocks. Dexter lift kit installed.

New front window rock guard/sun shade.

Backup camera system installed.

Electrical

Trailer’s entire electrical system has been replaced with an integrated hybrid power system purchased from AM Solar.

Two new Dometic furnaces, one installed in the main living area, the other installed in the bedroom. Dual zone system used to remove the requirement for heat ducting in the trailer and maximize storage space.

New Lippert 3500lb Power Tongue Jack.

New copper LPG lines and fittings installed, including new LPG valves installed at each appliance interface. New regulator and dual 30 gallon LP tanks with cover. Two outside LPG disconnects included (front and rear of trailer) to allow hookup of grills, stoves, and fireplaces.

Interior

New insulation installed throughout the trailer. High density foam board used in floors and straight walls. Rock wool used in curved areas.

All interior skins have been replaced with 6061 T6 aluminum (0.032 inch thick). Skins are polished to a satin, brushed aluminum finish (not shiny).

Custom cabinetry installed using professionally manufactured doors, panels, and hardware with soft close doors, Dual pull out pantries included. All cabinet interiors are completely finished.

Custom solid surface countertops throughout, including all kitchen and main living area countertops, bathroom vanity countertops, bedroom nightstand countertops, and main living area folding table, extensions, and end tables.

All underbed storage and exterior compartments are completely finished and trimmed out. There are no unfinished spaces in any area of this trailer. Pictures available upon request.

Two professionally, custom made 9” hybrid twin bed mattresses.

New main living area couch with integrated storage (LoveSac brand). Doubles as comfortable and roomy guest bed.
