Meet Evie, she is a 1973 31′ Airstream Sovereign who has gone through a massive restoration! I have included some before, during and after photos.
I did a complete shell off restoration on her. The frame was wire brushed, had broken and rusty outriggers professionally replaced, completely covered in rust proofing paint. New ground grade 3/4″ plywood floor, new under belly skin, new Rockwool and reflectix insulation. New window weather stripping. New 30 amp plug and breaker panel, 12V fuse box and converter. On demand water heater. Flexible CCST gas lines. LED lights added through the ceiling. I added a small washing machine hidden in the cabinets. Moved the rear bath to the side with beautiful cedar wall walk in shower. Natures Head composting toilet so no black tank!! Farmhouse sink, ample storage, queen rear bed lifts for more storage, fold out couch, 24″ 12V/AC TV with built in DVD player, built in book shelves surrounding heater. Bluetooth radio, vent less 20,000 BTU propane heater. New Coleman AC unit, 2- 12V USB plugs. Spent countless hours polishing the exterior.
My last trip we had an issue with the original awning, it ripped 🙁 I can replace however picking new color may be a perk for new owner. Looking for a new refrigerator, the used one is about dead. I can replace it but just not sure if I should replace with a 3 way fridge or just A/C depending on how the next owner will use her.
Had an appraisal done by Polk Appraisals in Ca. He valued her at 103,200.00.
