Sallie is a 1974 27’ Airstream International. She has been totally restored down to the frame. The restoration process was started in 2013 and was completed in 2017. She has been kept in the dry with exception of camping trips. All receipts of the restoration process have been kept in a binder down to the Olympic rivets that were replaced. All appliances were replaced; heater, stove, AC, convection microwave and Norcold refrigerator. The sofa was removed, restored and covered in leather. All of the cabinets were customed with solid maple millwork. The floor deck was replaced on the frame and marmoleum was installed. Waterproof Vinyl flooring was installed in 2020. Axels and brakes have been replaced. She also has Dish satellite TV and a Wi-Fi boost antenna on the roof to establish your own network from any Wi-Fi signal. The list of what has been done is too long to list. We are selling Sallie because we bought another Airstream. Sallie is very solid and a dream to pull. What needs repair? Nothing. There is a small 3” vertical tear in the canopy parallel to the stripes. If I did not list this, one may not even notice it. If I were to keep Sallie, what would I improve? I had planned to replace the factory interior lights with small LED pot lights. The original lights are nice and really add to the vintage look. They have LED bulbs and are nice and bright. I would also replace the 3 roof fans with Fantastic fans. I also wanted to polish Sallie to a mirror finish but my wife preferred the vintage look. Sallie is a real head turner.
