This journey all started when I noticed this little gem under an awning on my way to my mom’s house in WV. For months, years I wanted it and then, it was auctioned off. My husband and I persisted and won the auction.
She hadn’t been driven in a good while, so we had her towed to a mechanic where we bought new tires, batteries and a major tune up. Then we had a radiator made for her and a transmission and brakes. She runs like a charm.  I drove her through the mountains from Clarksburg, WV to Harrisonburg, VA and had zero problem. Everyone loves to see her on the road, she was quite popular at the mechanic’s, people stopping to ask if she was for sale.
I can’t say she is perfect because she needs a great deal more love and someone who really cares for her.
The inside is all original except the carpet, I believe. She needs cleaning and a bit of mending if you decide to keep the original upholstery. She has the original window blinds and curtains. I did not try the appliances, but they appear to be in very good condition.
I had plans to repaint the outside. I never tried the awning, but they apparently installed a nice one, paperwork is included.
I believe she is considered an antique, making her exempt from inspection.
The dashboard gages have issues but considering she is 50 years old its amazing she is still in good shape.
We are third owners, she has 350 GM original engine with approximately 56,000 miles, new breaks, tires, custom made radiator, exhaust system, new carburetor, and rebuilt transmission (original transmission was functional but it was disintegrated due to age and seating stationary ).
The appliances run on propane. It was very well taken care of by the previous owner and we have had it for two years. We focused on restoring the engine.
