We give you “Essie” our 1975 Landyacht Airstream, 31 foot trailer. Our trailer has undergone a full shell off restoration conducted by Salt Lake Airstream and custom interior build by Mountain Modern Airstream in Bend, Oregon. Essie is a perfect fit for a comfy home away from home, a guest house for friends and family, or a trusted escape in these wild covid times.

We gutted the trailer down to its shell and Airstream of Salt Lake City de-rivited the shell and redid the trailer, bellypan, subfloor, new axles, trailer brakes and grey water tank. Once we received the solid platform to build off of we employed Mountain Modern Airstream out of Bend, Oregon, https://www.mtnmodernairstream.com/ to design and build out a totally modern interior. We wanted it to be a cozy hideaway for our family, friends, kids, and our parents. Mountain Modern designed and fabricated the entire inside, new electrical, insulation, new interior skins with custom end caps, custom cabinets and counters. To get a feel for the inside, go to Mountain Modern Airstream and under projects click on “Essie” and you can see how stunning this trailer is. Or you can copy and paste the following link to see the build… mtnmodernairstream.com/essie.

Now that we are back in TX we no longer have a great spot for Essie and its time for her to go to a new home. This trailer would make a great hideaway getaway if you have a bit of land or a lot near a lake. It could also make a unique Airbnb or rental if you wanted to commercialize its awesomeness. Or it can be really nice overflow housing for when friends come to visit. We spent about 3 years in total getting Essie to where she is now and we are looking forward to seeing our Essie find a new home and a new family to adventure with.
