Meet “Essie” — our 1975 Land Yacht Airstream Sovereign International. Essie was found by her first owners in 2017 and had a complete shell-off restoration conducted by the Airstream of Salt Lake City in 2017-2018, and a custom interior build by Mountain Modern Airstream in Bend, Oregon in 2018-2019. We are a family of 6 and are the second owners of Essie, adopting her into our family during the pandemic in April 2021.

The Airstream of Salt Lake City gutted and de-riveted the shell down to the frame, and rebuilt the trailer with a new bellypan, subfloor, axles, trailer brakes and grey water tank. Once the framework was completed and solid, Mountain Modern Airstream was employed to design and build a full modern interior including new electrical, insulation, interior skins with custom end caps, custom cabinets and countertops. Since owning her, we added a manual Zip Dee awning and a rock guard for the front window as well as having her exterior fully polished.

She sleeps up to 6 and is a perfect fit for a comfy home away from home, a guesthouse for friends and family, an Airbnb rental or a trusted escape for adventures across the country. We are moving to North Carolina and sadly, no longer need Essie.
