This Airstream Argosy has the classic Airstream quality workmanship and design. It is ready to hit the road. We’ve driven it from British Columbia to Wyoming and everywhere in between. It’s been our ticket to amazing adventures – both off grid and at RV parks. The solar panels come with the trailer and they provide plenty of power for all your needs. However, please note that the AC can only be powered when the trailer’s plugged into shore power.
We bought this trailer in its original state – complete with orange counter tops and shag rugs. You shoulda seen ‘em! It’s been a really fun process to bring this trailer into the 21st century. We kept our favorite Airstream classic elements – the roll-top storage and great closet space – and updated just about everything else. We designed the dinette/bed in the front and built it ourselves, as well as the bed/sofa convertible in the middle of the trailer. The foam bed is super comfortable, although when it’s down you do have to climb over it to get to the bathroom. Originally, this trailer had two twin beds and that wasn’t going to fly for this marriage.
We had the bearings packed and brakes redone last year. We haul this with a chevy 2500. While it’s not a huge trailer, you won’t be able to haul this with a SUV.
Our dream was to paint the exterior white on top and a classic seventies blue or green on the bottom. Maybe you’ll make that dream a reality!
Some notes on the old girl: The door is slightly warped but closes just fine and doesn’t leak. We didn’t get around to remodeling the bathroom but everything works and the previous owner installed a new shower head and toilet. Mice chewed through some electrical so the original lights (which could use replacing anyway) don’t work but all the power outlets do, so we just plug in lights. Problem solved.
Please no tire kickers but we’ll consider reasonable offers.
