I rescued this beauty from 20 years of isolation in the woods. She is a blank canvas waiting to be transformed into your vision. She’ll need a shell-off restoration, and has the typical rear frame and outrigger issues of an Airstream of this era. There are manageable dents in both upper corners of the front, otherwise her skin is in great shape with no patches, ready for her “facial” polish to that mirror finish.
Fun side-note, she has a tattoo! A red, ghost number of 4002 from her time in the Wally Byam Caravan Club International, now known as Airstream Club International – the longest rolling, single-branded RV club in the world.
She has all original appliances, bath fixtures, and cabinets if one wanted to restore to vintage or use as templates for new designs.
The wheel bearings have been cleaned and repacked tor her trip out of the woods, and the old girl gave an audible sigh of relief as she was lowered onto her new tires — like a cozy pair of comfortable shoes. She has clean Title and looking for a forever home. Will that be you?
