1980- 28’ International Airstream rear bath twin bed

The awnings are in perfect shape, which is very rare! New tires, freshly packed axle bearings, recently serviced brake system, and 2 brand new batteries. The AC and heater work well and the overall condition is good for a camper this age. The interior has been partially gutted, with the RV refrigerator and stove/oven remaining..

The history on this Airstream is that it resided in San Antonio for several decades, then was moved to Oklahoma where the owner before us lived before moving to Colorado. He had it in Colorado for a few years before we bought it from him last year. We bought it to make it our dream Airstream and enjoy it with our two little girls. However, having emergency back surgery at the end of last year and our family moving to KS, we have decided that it is not the right time to take on a restoration project.

The camper is in really good shape for it’s age. We made sure the tires where replaced (new michelin tires), axle/bearings inspected and packed, brakes inspected and anything else that was of a safety risk on the road. It still has it’s original axels which handled just fine on the move from Colorado to Kansas this June. The heater, hot water heater and ac where replaced buy the two previous owners. From what I have tested they all work and so does the original refrigerator. In the pictures you will see that I began patching the floor in the areas where 2 small leaks were detected. They were minor and easily fixed. The back and side awning are in great shape. All the windows are original and had mirror tint added to them. We left the general layout the same but removed everything that could not be fixed and did not want to keep. The plan was to put back the twin beds, kitchen and bathroom where Airstream had them placed. I have the original owners manual that is very helpful when fixing or learning more about the camper. At one time it was registered with the International Airstream club and possibly attended a national get together. We did a little research with an Airstream historian to learn this info.

Here is a link to my photos of when we bought the trailer and what has been done to the inside.
