1984 Airstream 34.5’ motorhome.
We bought this in 2018 for use at our air b+b location. I personally drove it there from north Nashville.
It drove straight and true, no bouncing. Most of the basics worked.
The tires were brand new at the time.
What it needs:
Restoration. TLC. All of its systems are intact, but will need each to be checked and adjusted.
It’s going to need batteries. I will get it fired up at the end of January. Personally I would simply suggest having it transported to your location.
I have checked a few transporters and the average cost is from $1.25- 2.75 per mile.
The generator used to get run periodically, but now it’s been a couple years. It always ran smoothly and ac/dc system functioned properly.
On board 45 amp 12v power supply.
Engine is solid. GMC 454 v8
As a mechanic, my opinion is that it ought to simply have the carb replaced or rebuilt. The challenge I have periodically starting it is due to three things, the carb, the battery, and the cables in between. Once it’s fired up, it’s good to go.
It has most all of its original cabinets and fixtures. We redid the floor up front.
Let me know what else I can tell you about it.
