HISTORICAL 23’ 1991 Airstream Classic. One of a kind, never to be reproduced, guaranteed, and have the blueprints to prove it.

This particular Airstream Classic was commissioned by Frank and Vivian Sargent (inventor of the port-a-potty). Frank Sargent commissioned this one of a kind Classic with Excella trim after his second International Caravan of Friendship (Caravan America-China CAC), across China. The trailer also has on its side, near the door, a China Clipper emblem. This emblem commemorates the caravan of families from China (1987), from Fort Meyers, Florida to Mount Rushmore South Dakota, symbolically thanking the Chinese people for their hospitality. This trailer hosts tons of history with its original Airstream binder containing all orders, correspondences, blueprints, and much more from all the owners to present date. It has many new upgrades. Although, wanting to keep the historical value, and vintage ambiance many features have been restored rather than replaced- such as the oak cabinetry, and cedar lined closets.

The original double locking door and doorbell are still in full working order. Coach also has a full sized bathroom, complete with tub with shower, and flush toilet. Kitchen faucet, and water heater have been replaced 2023. The solar power system is in full operational working order to recharge the batteries while camping off the grid. The trailer has a one of a kind propane cover with original blueprint marked NEVER TO BE REPRODUCED. The cover makes this Airstream stand out in a crowd. You’ll never see this cover on any other Airstream. The propane housing holds 2- 30 lb tanks, and has a locking top. Also keeping with the vintage look are all three original awnings. Throughout the trailer are storage cabinets including a large pull out food pantry. Cabinets, pantry, and closets are solid oak.

Some things were changed in the coach to update for a more comfortable experience, such as, the dinning table that converts to a bed. The dinning table has wrap around seating on three sides. The kitchen area has a three burner stove, and a full sized refrigerator/ freezer. In addition, there is a microwave/convection oven. The front seating area pulls out to a goucho bed. The air conditioning has been updated, and the roof exhaust fan will automatically close when it starts to rain. For entertainment there is a tv with remote and a radio/CD player. Deep cycle batteries were replaced 2022.

The coach comes with all the documentation from Frank Sargent’s letter ordering the coach with his specifications, to present day. Also the original blueprints for the propane cover, and other component are included. This is a must see one of a kind Airstream trailer.
