We decided to downsize from our Airstream Classic Excella 1000 (34 ft) to smaller trailer after having thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful Airstream since our purchase in 2012. We are the second owners and have done many upgrades and kept up on the maintenance required to keep this Airstream Classic in excellent condition. Standard features include all side awnings, dual 30 lb aluminum propane tanks with automatic tank selector, queen rear berth with upgraded dense memory foam mattress, Fantastic Vent remote/automatic fan, all original Zip Dee folding chairs, Airstream-brand lounge chair, dual heat systems (ducted propane and electric heat pump/air conditioning) , Dometic DC/propane refrigerator/freezer, raised panel solid oak cabinetry.

This is a well-built classic and it pulls like a dream with the three axles running gear. It comes with an equalizing hitch with sway stabilizer.

Here are the upgrades we’ve completed::

2019-2020:
New wood flooring, new bath, shower and kitchen fixtures, all LED lighting both interior and exterior , new cabinet hardware, new combo microwave/convection/air fry oven, new house batteries, new smart TV, professionally refinished exterior with new decals (see Special Note below)

2021:
New tires, new smart AC/DC battery charger/converter

Special Note: After working endlessly to restore/maintain the exterior and remove oxidation, we had the exterior professionally refinished in 2018 with an industrial fleet truck paint. We selected a silver metallic color that does not duplicate the “polished” aluminum, but achieved a “classic” appearance. The exterior finish was done by a reputable fleet truck painting company recommended by Airstream of Spokane and the finish is now nearly maintenance free. All Airstream decals were replaced. If you are looking for a nearly maintenance-free exterior that yet looks classic, this is it. If you want only the aluminum look, then this is not the trailer for you.
