This Airstream has been a comfortable and functional space for us, but we recently purchased a motor coach, so we are ready to pass it along to people who will appreciate a good deal on what is still, despite being a little beat up, a great trailer. This trailer will outlive any tiny home, and would make a great AirBnB…

Purchased in August of 2018 in Nevada, previous owner had for 14 years. Immediately after buying, we began to remodel the interior to suit our needs. Details of work below, along with disclosure of some issues that potential buyers need to be aware of.

• New 13.5k AirCommand AC, which is both efficient and quiet. It keeps the interior cool even in Texas summers, because we…
• Painted roof with Bus Kote, which dropped the inside temp over 10 degrees while in the summer sun, due to having awnings all the way around.
• 3 new MaxxFan Deluxe 7500 series fans, allowing operation in the rain or when driving.
• Pergo Hardwood floor and cork underlay installed.
• Front seating arrangement redone, increasing storage and comfort. Custom designed foam and latex filled cushions.
• Dinette replaced with desk/workbench and under desk shelving.
• Custom made 7 inch foam and natural latex mattress.
• Bathroom partition wall removed and Airhead composting toilet installed. All original fittings left in place, can revert to standard toilet if needed.
• Holding tank valves and plumbing replaced, insulation added to tank pan.
• Moved breaker panel from cabinet above bed to closet, rerouted all electrical to closet.
• Moved electrical entrance from rear to middle of trailer, and installed Smart Plug shore power inlet.
• Due to above, bedroom now free of electrically induced magnetic fields, allowing more restful sleep.
• Poynting MiMo 315Cellular/WiFi/GPS antenna installed on roof, wiring ran to closet.
• Cellular router location in closet. Network wiring ran to desk, TV and front seating areas.
• Hercules H902, 14 ply tires installed 2018.

All awnings are in good condition, and the original furnace, hot water heater, fridge and stove are in good working order. The water pump has been replaced, battery replaced 2020, and the bearings were repacked in 2019.

Now, for disclosure. There are some issues that potential buyers need to be aware of…

• Some dents and dings, mostly in the rear but also one front corner. Most were present when we purchased, but a picnic table in a very tight camping spot added a new dent last year. That one might be able to be popped out, we did not explore repairing it. See pictures.
• Some damage to the aluminum siding near the wheel well on both sides due to previous owner having multiple tire blowouts. It was patched, but still evident. We purchased tires that would not blow out to avoid repeating.
• Two stabilizing jacks need to be replaced.
• Rear end separation, which we have not addressed. It is likely due to old leaks in the rear, which we think have now been fixed. We were not informed of this when buying, and being new to Airstreams, we did not know to look for this. After a few years bouncing down the highway, we discovered it. It is sealed to keep the rain out, and as long as it is mostly parked should not be an issue. It tows great, we just do not recommend pulling it all over the country until this is repaired.
• Mouse fur in bedroom has some stains (aluminum dust) which are not able to be removed. Had planned to remove and replace with wall covering after work performed in rear. http://www.watsonswander.com/2017/airstream-replacing-mouse-fur-walls/

We have had it mostly parked in Texas, Montana and Arizona, and before that it lived in Southern California and Nevada. It has a clean title, and is currently registered in Montana.

Feel free to ask any questions, and will send more pictures upon request.
