Very nice 2002 trailer, nicer than trailers several years newer. This International AS22 has barely been used showing very little wear inside and out.
Take a look: the appliances and cabinets show little signs of wear. An AMAZING amount of storage, cabinets everywhere more counter space and food preparation area than many larger Airstream trailers. New plush full size plus mattress, very comfortable after a long day out hiking or biking. Four people can sit at the dinette comfortably which makes into a second bed which is bigger than I originally thought just by looking at it. There is a two burner gas stove and convection microwave oven that’s great for heating up breakfast lunch or dinner. The refrigerator/freezer is good size for this trailer not huge, but adequate. In the wet bath a toilet/shower combination that Airstream has done in many of its smaller trailers, is serviceable with a shower curtain and medicine cabinet.It has a porcelain toilet and a sprayer for easy cleanups.
Outside and inside it has all new LED lights and new lighted license plate holder. Goodyear Marathon tires with good tread and an extra spare tire, weirdly enough this trailer didn’t come originally equipped with a spare tire. According to the manufacturer’s manual if you have a flat you can remove the flat tire and run 30 mph. I bought a spare tire. The air conditioner was cleaned and new filters and cover were installed earlier this year working fine when it was checked. There is a heat strip installed in the air conditioner for those not quite cold enough to run the propane heater nights. There is some filaform corrosion spots on the from and exterior skin common for Airstream trailers. Aluminum just does that. Look at a dozen Airstreams they all have beauty marks. But for a trailer her age she’s in good shape. As for towing, she’s an easy puller 5,000lbs GVW 600 lb tongue weight. I pulled it most of the time with a Toyota 4runner then a V8 F150. No problems towing, also a load leveling hitch comes with the trailer. Wheel covers and AC cover for UV protection come along with it too. There are two dents on the rear roof portion that are hard to see unless you know they are there, I’m told they could be popped out by a PDR pro. I never really worried too much about them no leaks or gashes in the skin.
We are sad to see her go but our needs have changed and someone will have a new to you Airstream for their adventures.
