Why did you select this model? Our driveway restrictions at the time meant it had to be 25ft or less. We have one child. We wanted the sofa bed in the window so he could sleep in and we could still sit at the dinette and have our morning coffee without waking him. We also liked that he could use the large pull out table for games without impacting my ability to make or serve meals.

Exterior body condition: Note any dents or scrapes, any panel replacements, hail damage?: Generally good shape for age with typical filiform corrosion around the seams on the rear and around the housings for the brake lights. Clear coat intact. Has been regularly washed and walbernized. Two small push in dings on the rear – prior owner told us that it had happened in storage and he didn’t know how. Several scratches on the sides (one we would consider deep), mainly from outdoor chairs or other things leaning up against it. Some fine scratches on the upper from tree branches. Not noticeable from the ground. * Intact and not dented rock guards. * Couple of dings on the propane tank cover. * No repairs performed to the body panels. * We replaced the faded and cracked ‘bump strip’ with a new chrome colored one. * Battery box is rusty underneath and could use replacement. Hail Damage? None Aluminum Body Panels: All original
Windows, Doors, Hatch Covers, Vent Covers, Skylights, Roof Fans..: Roof Vents and Skylights: All original. One is a fantastic fan, one is manual crank. Skylights have some yellowing to the interior surround covers. Fantastic fan interior surround has a crack to the plastic. Exterior Hatch Covers and Locks: All in place. All work, all have keys, including the fresh water fill. We have also added stainless bug guards to the appliance vent covers and changed out the outdoor light to LED. Windows, Seals and Operators: All windows are functional and the windows open fully (not just a part of it like most Safaris of this age), seals work and have been regularly lubed, though a couple of the rubber seals have rips/punctures. All the sliders have knobs and operate, occasionally a bit stiff. One screen has been replaced. Windows are tinted (solar gray) and there is a full solar/stone guard over the front wraparound window.
Entrance Door: Door is in great shape, works fine. Locks and latches work. Screens intact. We have two full sets of keys. Grab handles outside and inside. New foam insulation strip installed in 2018
Awnings: Number and location:: Awnings: Single 16ft+ factory installed zip-dee awning over the door side. No rips or tears. Could probably use a bit of a clean. Manual. We have the factory supplied hook for releasing the catches and pulling it down.
Interior Layout: Sleeping, Kitchen, Bathroom locations: This is a wide body “sleep six” configuration with a corner bath and corner queen bed, a side dinette that converts to a bed, and a sofa in the window that also pulls out to a bed. It has a lot of storage. It is in good, clean, serviceable condition. It has the aluminum interior, wrap around window at the front and fully opening windows. Aluminum blinds and beige curtains. No known repairs required. Some cosmetic repairs have been done and a couple of appliances replaced. Sleeping Areas: Six average sized humans as three doubles. Corner double bed (52×76), double fold down dinette (42×76), double pull out sofa. Works great for a family with two kids (or more if they’re small) Mattress and Sleeping Surfaces: Main corner bed mattress (sprung) appears to be original. It is soft and comfortable, used with a waterproof cover. Some of the edging on the mattress is pulling away from where it has been grabbed to try and change the sheets. The sofa folds flat and has good support, Also has been used by use with a waterproof cover. The dinette is a bit on the soft side as the cushions are soft. If they were replaced it would have better support. Dinette Style and Location: Dinette is on the side. It seats four. 42″x76″ when down. The table folds down to create a good sized bed (two people are cozy, one is comfortable) We replaced the dinette table leg after it broke with a new style folding leg. The table has a few marks on the formica that we’ve been unable to remove. The pull out table next to the sofa is in mint condition.
Interior Hard Surfaces: Walls, Counters, Doors: The walls are aluminum, not mouse fur. it is in great shape. There is some vinyl wallpaper in the bathroom that is rippled and slightly peeling. The finishes are “midnight sun” for the dinette cushions and “tropical oak” for the wood finish cabinets and graphite colored counters (they were white as standard). Cabinets are all in good shape, no peeling. Interiors have some marks on the formica from items shifting around. Cabinets, Doors, and Counters: We have had some of the peeling formica edges re-glued. All cabinet boxes are sound. The cabinets and doors are all in great condition with all latches working. The Euro hinges need some adjustments. There is limited countertop space. It is formica. There is a flip up extra countertop by the door. Mirrored medicine cabinet and flip up door. Additional flip down shelf in bedroom area with mirror by additional TV point. Pull out pantry Magazine rack. The overhead cabinets in the kitchen area have had ‘spice racks’ screwed to them. One has a bar missing.
Interior Soft Surfaces: Cushions / Fabrics / Curtains: Upholstery: The dinette cushions are in ‘midnight sun’. They are serviceable but a bit soft due to age. The covers have been laundered. The carpet around the dinette seats is a bit worn and stained near the floor. The sofa is an original beige ultraleather upgrade with a couple of pen marks on it. It has all the original “midnight sun” throw cushions. Curtains and Blinds: All original aluminum blinds, all in great condition and operable. Original cream curtains on the wrap around window are clean and pressed. They have a couple of barely noticeable small splashes on them which we have not tried to remove. The dividing curtain is in mint condition with all hardware/catches.
Bathroom Style and Condition: Bathroom Location and Layout: Corner bathroom with, separate toilet and fiberglass shower with soap dish. Sink is outside the toilet/shower area. Shower head and hose replaced in 2019 to include shut off button for water saving. Original Thetford toilet in good condition, flapper/seals lubed with Thetford products. Has towel rails. Pull out shower ‘screen door’ in great condition. We really like the fact that the shower has a deep >6″ rim which allows it to be used as small ‘kid bath’, for cleaning dogs, or feet etc. Also the seat in the shower (where the tank is) is really useful. There is an exhaust fan in the bathroom.
Appliances: Stove and Oven: New stainless DOMETIC stove (range and oven) in 2021 to replace original one that broke. Three burners, oven. Located next to door with extraction hood and light over. Propane. Refrigerator: Original Dometic fridge freezer, ?6cuft. Runs on both propane and electric (shore power or battery). Furnace / Space Heater: 25,000 BTU forced air propane furnace with electric ignition. Other Appliances: New Power Jack installed 2019 All interior and exterior lighting replaced with LED. Exterior outdoor light glass cover replaced. Replaced probe-less See Level tank monitoring system with new in 2021.
Plumbing System : Original plumbing. Pressure regulator. Water pump. System overhauled and plugs, valves etc replaced in 2018 as it wasn’t holding pressure properly. Hot Water Heater: 6 gallon propane water heater with electric ignition water heater bypass kit Sinks and Taps: Original. Stainless double bowl in kitchen with covers for both sinks to optimize counter space. Stainless single bowl in bathroom sink. All functional and have plugs. Toilet: Thetford, plastic (not porcelain). Functions well. Fresh Water Tank: Original. 39 gallons. Good condition. Regularly sanitized Gray Water Tank: Original. 39 Gallons. good condition Black Water Tank: Original. 18 gallon. good condition, regularly flushed and maintained. Exterior Water / Sewer Connections: All exterior connections are functioning. Part of the sewer connection was replaced due to an exterior leak. Valves are lubed, occasionally stiff. Has sewer hose storage tube under belly. Water leaks / Water damage? Mold or Mildew? No leaks or water damage. No evidence of mold. (dehumidifier kept running)
Sub Floor and Floor Coverings: Description and Condition: Sub-Floor: No issues known with the sub floor. Floor Coverings: The original vinyl flooring has crept away from the door over the years and left a gap. We cover it with a mat.
Air Conditioning? Number and Location?: Air Conditioner: 11.000 BTU dometic AC – cools and heats with heat strip. Duo therm comfort control thermostat allows for temperature selection and mode (fan, heat with propane, heat with HVAC, cooling). No soft start, needs 30 amps. Filters regularly changed but some of the clips that hold the filters are missing so they sometimes fall out in transit.
Electrical System : Electrical Service: 30 amp, one connection, original. 55 amp converter. 7 way trailer cord junction box. Solar and Battery / Charging Systems: Prewired for solar. New 4 stage progressive dynamics converter installed in 2019 (ready for solar, manages battery properly etc) New Trojan AGM batteries in 2019, checked in 2021 and still holding charge.
LP – Propane System – Tanks / Regs / Hoses – Condition?: Two propane tanks, new in 2018. New stainless hoses 2021 replaced leaking rubber ones. Autoswitch regulator (goes from one tank to the other when one is empty) Replaced LP detector in 2021.
Frame Condition: Front A-Frame Condition: The front a frame was sanded and repainted in 2021. It is in solid condition. The stairs and other areas of visible metalwork were similarly repainted in 2021. Rear Bumper / Exposed Frame Condition: The rear bumper is in good condition and the rear bumper storage is similarly in good condition. It was touched up in 2021. The leveling/stabilizers are manual and are regularly lubed but they are spotted with corrosion. Frame Condition: The frame appears structurally sound, with some visible corrosion that we’ve been told is not material. No weakness or separation.
Belly Pan: The belly pan is mostly original. We had the airstream service folks replace a section at the rear as it had a hole in it (we assume from a prior owner) and had come loose. There’s a gap around the exit for the black tank which may have once had a gasket around it.

Rolling Gear: Axles: Original. Two. Henschen. Shocks replaced 2018 Tires: New 16″ rims and tires in 2018. Good condition. Spare tire holder, but no 16″ spare tire. Original 15″ spare still in place. Brakes and Hubs: Dexter 12″ electric brakes. Drums, backing plates, inner and outer bearings and seals replaced 2018. Brakes at 85% on inspection in 2020. Wheel Bearings: Bearings and seals replaced in 2018 Emergency Breakaway Cable: replaced 2018. working and tested. Safety Chains? in place. good condition. some rust on the hooks. Hitch Receiver Size: 2 5/16″ Pigtail / Trailer Wire Connection: 7 round. Working fine. Exterior Lights and Signals: All lights working correctly, no issues.
Signal and Marker Lights: All working.

Ownership History: Delivered May 30 2005 to first owner in Ohio. Second owner, long time Airstreamer based in WI. Regularly maintained and used. Sold due to declining health. We placed a want ad for this specific model and finishes, owner reached out and we purchased directly. Had it towed to CA to Bay Area Airstream and overhauled there. (see maintenance history).

Full maintenance history since 2018 with Bay Area Airstream and Rocket City RV. Last multipoint inspection and full appliance service in 2020 prior to towing from CA to AL. Unit is currently winterized. We have two Honda whisper quiet generators that can be ganged together that is sufficient to run the AC. A single one will run the unit without AC. We can provide a price if buyer interested. We have stainless nesting pots/pans, white corelle dinner ware, unbreakable glasses, stainless toaster, tea kettle, mixing bowls, utensils and numerous other kitchen wares and supplies/consumables which we can price if buyer seeks a “just bring your own linens and food” turnkey unit. We have user manuals/guide books for starting out.
