We’re selling our 2005 Airstream International 28′ CCD. The CCD model designates a special edition collaboration with Christopher Deam Design, which emphasized clean lines and a modern feel that has held up much better than most other campers from this era. We have had many people (including many Airstream owners) ask about it assuming it was a much newer unit than a 2005. This model has multiple skylights and high windows to allow natural light even with the blinds closed, and also has awnings on 3 sides to provide shade and comfort. In addition to the Queen bed, the front couch can pull out into a bed and the dinette tabletop can drop down to make another bed.

We’ve made several upgrades to make it reliable and comfortable for family travel:

– Installed a lithium-compatible converter, and 300AH of lithium (LiFePo4) batteries. This provided a significant increase in battery life (3-4x), while being half the weight, quicker to charge, and safe to store for extended periods of time without battery damage
– New electric jack
– New wheel hub + brake assembly
– New skylight + 3 new window seals
– Inline water filter under the kitchen sink
– New shower head
– One new propane tank
– Two custom built-in kids beds with storage underneath (one has removable crib-style rails). These can be taken out if you’d prefer the original layout.

We traveled in this camper for 3 months across the U.S. as a family of four (plus our dog) this summer. It turned out to be the perfect size — plenty of room for sleeping and eating, while still easy enough to tow. The rear bedroom setup worked great for our kids, and allowed us to put them sleep early and continue to hang out up front after they went to bed. We hardly needed to use the AC or heat this summer, but it was nice to have the option when needed.

There is a small dent in the front left corner from the previous owner, and some minor aesthetic damage behind the back left tire. Otherwise, she is in great condition. Everything works as it should, and she is ready for more adventures. We’ll even include our kitchen items and levelers/x-chock if desired to make it ready to hit the road!
