2016 Airstream Flying Cloud Twin RB (Rear Bed) 30amp

I am the second owner, having acquired this trailer from the original owners in 2020 or 2021. The original owners kept it in air-conditioned storage in Charlotte and used it on weekends to take their grandkids out. After purchasing the trailer, we took it on trips from North Carolina to Washington once a year, staying for several months at a time. It’s been an absolutely wonderful trailer to own, but it’s time for my wife and me (no kids; non-smokers; non-drinkers) to downsize to a smaller tow vehicle and 23′ Airstream.

This trailer, towed behind our F250, performs exceptionally well and is a dream to stay in. As a family passionate about hiking, running, and fly fishing, we had the chance to explore parts of the country we never knew existed. It’s been a blast.

We opted for the “twin bed” configuration because it offers much more luggage storage both outside and inside.

In 2021, we added a “SureCall Fusion4Home 3G/4G Repeater Kit” to increase cell phone range when we are on the edge of service. That’s the white omni antenna on the roof.

In 2023, I swapped the factory inverter for a “Renogy 2000W 12V Pure Sine Wave Inverter Charger” and added a 100Ah battery to the existing inverter-only branch circuit. The house batteries are the same factory model green Interstate batteries located in the trailer tongue storage box (the batteries were replaced in 2022, if I remember correctly).

The tires were replaced all around in 2022 while stopping over in Helena, Montana, after fishing the Missouri River.

We use a suitcase-style folding solar panel for charging from the sun. We prefer this over roof-mounted solar panels.
