Changes to facilitate long-term camping trips.
Front End Conversions
The major change revolved around the table-to-bed conversion. We prefer to utilize the campground tables for dining. On inclement days we eat from plates placed on large trays on the forward bed. The nightly conversion process of lowering the table and rearranging the cushions to prepare the bed was eliminated. The bed, 4” thick memory foam, is professionally built on special order. When necessary, we place a tablecloth on the bed and large trays on the tablecloth. Chairs bought from IKEA are stored under the bed.
The bed arrangement is easily converted to an office table. Adding an office chair on rollers completes the office arrangements. The two drawers are file size. One LED light was added in the forward position over the forward bed to provide a focused reading light for reading. A swing food prep table provides ample spaces for preparing meals. The table swings and latches up to proved access to the water tank drain valves. The area beneath the swing table provides space for towels, sleeping bags, electric vacuum, paper towels, and other items. Storage beneath the bed provides room for a week s food storage.
Bathroom
The bathroom shelf was modified by adding a rack for carry-all containers which are covered by the shower curtain when showering. A redwood floor grate allows the floor to be easily dried after showering.
Rear Bed
Beneath the rear bed, a heat deflector was added to facilitate additional clothes storage utilizing plastic boxes. The furnace now blows directly into the cabin space.
The rear access compartment is only accessible from the outside to allow adding storage in plastic containers beneath the bed.

The Bambi’s size is a blessing when you wish to stop at a Hampton or Holiday Inn to take a break on a long trip. In addition, it turns on a dime at crowded service stations.
