Why Choose the Airstream Basecamp X?
This Basecamp is fully equipped to make your outdoor life comfortable; nearly 10 inches of ground clearance, and off-road tires. You will find plenty of destinations where many others can’t go, but will be your playground.
The living space can seat up to 6 guests around two adjustable-height tables and benches that easily convert into a king-size bed allowing you and your partner can exit the bed without disturbing each other—an uncommon luxury in 16 feet. The wrap-around panoramic windows offer stunning views and flood the cabin with natural light.
The kitchen is well-appointed with everything you need to cook, on or off-grid. The two-burner propane stove, microwave, electric refrigerator, sink with hot and cold water, and compact fridge. Storage is plentiful, with cabinets, under-bench storage, and convenient net slings for additional organization.
The center wet bath includes a shower and toilet, allowing you to stay fresh no matter where your adventures take you. Plus, the passthrough for an outdoor shower is perfect for rinsing off after hiking or biking.
Systems and features include:
Solar Power: Roof-mounted solar panels keep your battery charged, powering essentials like lights, refrigerator, water pumps, and fans.
Dual Power Furnace/hot water heater: The propane/electric furnace ensures you stay warm even in the coldest conditions.
Ventilation: Two screened doors, windows, and roof-mounted vent fans provide excellent airflow, even in hot weather. The roof vent cover allows air circulation even during inclement weather.
Propane System: Two 20-lb propane tanks fuel the stove, water heater, and furnace, ensuring you’re ready for extended stays off the grid.
Front window Solar guards: Solid Lexan window protectors assist in keeping the interior cool.
When connected to campground services, the air conditioning unit keeps the interior cool on hot days, and the heat strip takes the chill off cool evenings without needing the full furnace. When you’re off-grid, the furnace runs on both battery and propane, ensuring you’ll stay warm no matter the temperature outside. USB and 120v outlets throughout the trailer keep your devices charged and ready for use.
