The Interstate GL is built on the Mercedes-Benz® 3500 Sprinter van chassis with the Mercedes-Benz 3.0L V6 turbo diesel engine. It has air ride suspension, active lane keeping assist, active cruise control, rear- and side-view cameras, and the most airbags available from Mercedes-Benz.
Inside the 24GL has 4 swivel Ultraleather® captain’s chairs, a couch and jack-knife lounges, all with seatbelts. It is equipped with a Corian® table that can be positioned at the sofa or amid the captain’s chairs. There are two widescreen Samsung® LED HD TVs with swivel mounts. European-style curved cabinetry offers plenty of storage. Cook your meals in the kitchen station with Corian® countertops, a two-burner propane stovetop, sink, refrigerator, and an easy-to-access drawer microwave. The bath has a sink, shower, and toilet, plus a built-in shampoo, conditioner, and body wash station and a clothesline. At night, the couch folds down at the touch of a button creating a queen-size bed. Also at the touch of a button, window shades for both day and night, and magnetic privacy covers for the front. Open up the back doors for more storage. The doors swivel around the body of the van giving open views when set up at camp. A power screen keeps the insects out. The side sliding door, also equipped with a sliding screen, may be left open for patio living under the exterior power Carefree awning. While relaxing under the awning you may also choose to light your patio with undercarriage and awning LED lighting.
Find a campground or head off the grid and park where you’d like. The RV is equipped with propane heat and hot water, a 2.5 kW LP generator and solar power to support the batteries. Hook up to city water or carry 26 gallons of freshwater. A macerator pump with an electric hose retract reel empties the grey water (27g) and black water (13g) tanks.
