Purchased this unit new in December 2018 and took delivery from the dealer in March 2019 – our third Airstream in over 20 years and first new one. Finished all warranty aspects in late 2020, including factory required Alde flush and change to latest fluid. During last trip out west in Fall 2020 stopped by the see the brand new Newmar Supreme Aire Super C models and decided it was timely to go from our glamping adventures to a mobile “pied-a-terre” and bought the Supreme Aire in December 2020. We still love to Airstream in our Classic but realized it will be a few years before we use it again so ready to sell it right at the beginning of a new summer camping season especially when new order Airstream models are reported to being delivered without mattresses or being delayed due to this crazy RV market environment.
Original build sheet shows all the features and options including factory solar, plus included are the Level Mate Pro with phone app that allows you to check leveling from inside the tow vehicle, the Max Air vent cover, 12,000# Equalizer hitch and the removable Samsung flat screen TV we wired in to the rear passenger side garage to create an outdoor entertainment center! See pic. Absolutely no dings or dents at all other than what the pics show on just the front rock guards, and a small scratch on the bottom of the chrome fender. Happy to send any other detailed pictures, or a video, or do a live Facetime tour. Willing to consider delivery from northern WI to within 300 or so miles – Chicago, Mpls, Milwaukee, northern MI .
Always stored inside since new, and used 3 weeks camping each spring and each fall.
Unit cleaned and ready to roll immediately. Will un-winterize and fill with water for purchaser so that all systems are ready. Also includes misc stuff such as two accordion sewer hoses, two fresh water hoses, leveling pads, chocks, Walbernize cleaner/polish, extra 25′ power cord, two sets of keys, extra hide a key, 5 gallons of latest Alde antifreeze for future use, Bulldog folding trailer foot, and Airstream artwork in kitchen. Original airstream bedspreads and sofa cushions/bolsters are included but were never used.
For those looking at either a queen or twin, our first two units were queen beds and by far we much prefer the twin configuration since it gives you 4″ extra bed length and much more useful standing area for changing. Also, discovered after using it that the solid wood bathroom door opens up and temporarily creates a wonderful master suite so that the toilet, sink, shower and wardrobes are all part of the same private “room” and separate from the kitchen and living area which makes showering, shaving, grooming, dressing, etc. very comfortable without compromising the wonderful full-length spatial feel of the Classic 30 vs the Classic 33. We also had concerns about the newer nautical flooring Airstream uses in the Classic with regard to cleaning and dirt collection – but after camping in it we discovered we were very wrong and it works beautifully.
Contact Seller
Consider these tips in order to send or receive payment safely.
Know the vehicle’s market value
Be very suspicious of any vehicle priced significantly below market value. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Confirm contact information
Verify the seller’s physical address and phone number BEFORE SENDING PAYMENT. Zip codes, area codes and addresses should match up.
Use email wisely
Do not send personal or financial information (such as your social security number, credit card number or checking account number) to a seller via email. Email communications are not secure.
Do not use money transfer services, such as Western Union to pay for online purchases
Even Western Union recommends against using their service or similar services to pay for online purchases. Be cautious about any seller who will only accept a money transfer.
If using an escrow service for payment, make sure it is a reputable, valid escrow service
Some buyers, purchasing outside their local area, may consider using an escrow service. If so, make sure it is a legitimate service. Go directly to the website of the escrow service. Do NOT go to an escrow service through a link in the seller’s e-mail or use a service based on a referral from the seller. Check the web address to make sure you are at the valid website.
Get a detailed receipt
Ask the seller for a receipt that states whether the Airstream is being sold with a warranty or “as is.”
Get title to the vehicle
Make sure you know what’s required in your state to transfer title to the vehicle you’re buying.
Confirm contact information
Be wary of buyers willing to purchase your item sight-unseen, especially buyers located overseas. Always verify the buyer’s street address and valid phone number.
Verify that a certified check is genuine
Verify authenticity with the issuing bank prior to depositing a certified check. Make sure the account contains sufficient funds and the issuing bank guarantees payment on the check. Once deposited in your account, it may take a week or more for the check to clear. Acceptance by your bank does not guarantee the check is valid and funds are available. A cashier’s check can take 30 days or more to clear.
Secure payment first
Do not transfer the title until you have payment in hand at the agreed upon price (and you have verified that the payment is valid.
Beware of overpayment or other complicated payment schemes
Do not agree to any plan where the buyer asks to send a check for more than the sale price and requests that the seller refund the difference. Be suspicious of any buyer who proposes making payment through a friend or agent of the buyer.
