With regret we are selling our Airstream trailer. We bought it new, loved it tremendously and took great care of it. It gave us much pleasure. We’re selling it just two months after investing $16,000 in these renovations and upgrades:
(1) Replaced the uncomfortable L shaped bench/bed with two Brazilian Lafer recliners and a side cabinet with a drawer and storage compartment. Behind the recliners is a full width storage cabinet with access from the top. Between the recliners there is a small flip up table. Also, behind the recliners are additional outlets for cell phones or tablets.
(2) installed a new stovetop that is flush with counter.
(3) Replaced one of the narrow twin beds with a new six inch wider platform and mattress.

If you’re looking for a 30ft. Airstream International that sleeps up to six, keep looking as this one isn’t for you. Usually it was just the two of us, sometimes three. We found the L shaped bench/couch uncomfortable. Ultimate Airstreams, a division of the Local dealer, designed and modified our trailer and installed the Lafer recliners, cabinetry and stove top. Those changes, especially the recliners, have improved the comfort of the trailer greatly, whether reading, watching TV or just relaxing. Lafer recliners are among the best recliners you can buy. Look at the website of Ultimate Airstream and you’ll get an idea of their workmanship.
I’m 6’4” and 200lbs and always felt squeezed in my twin bed. My new bed and mattress is six inches wider and I’ve never slept better in the Airstream. The additional width came from narrowing the nightstand. The bathroom side twin has room for this bed widening.
