2019 Airstream Nest 16U
with Solar and Smart Lithium Upgrade

Mint condition 2019 Airstream Nest with significant upgrades including 200W smart solar system, 200Ah Smart Lithium Iron Phosphate battery bank (LiFePO4), and DC to DC converter for connecting the charging system to the tow vehicle while traveling . Our beloved Nest is a rare find and this one is in perfect condition and ready for the open road. We purchased this gem in mint condition last year, barely used by the previous owner and with that new car smell. The Airstream Nest is a feat of design and engineering and built with top of the line components, so it was hard to find anything to improve on. But to make this a true boondocking travel trailer, we installed solar and a LiFePO4 battery bank and is now capable of off-grid dispersed camping while maintaining power indefinitely without a generator (which are now banned at many parks and campsites). Along with many upgrades and improvements, this cozy home away from home has been tried, tested, and refined on the road.

Our plan from the start was to take a 3-month sabbatical, visiting several major National Parks, and then sell to the next adventurer. Since our return we have gone over the trailer meticulously cleaning, polishing, and replacing anything that wasn’t in perfect condition.

If you are unfamiliar with the Nest, this is a modern take on the traditional travel trailer which has received numerous accolades from not only RV publications, but automotive, architectural, and even tech magazines. The only molded fiberglass model ever produced by Airstream, the Nest is lighter, better insulated, and more weatherproof than its aluminum siblings. All appliances and components are top tier quality and every attention to detail has been given to everything from storage and lighting to plumbing, heating and cooling, doors and windows, and even cabinetry and upholstery. It’s like a modern apartment that you can take anywhere. We considered both floorpans offered by Airstream and found the 16U to be the most useful and comfortable by far. The dinette allowed several people to dine together and the extra cabinet space proved indispensable. And the convertible memory foam bed is extremely comfortable, equal to the 16FB and more adaptable.
