I have owned two airstreams, and this one like the last one is just exceptional in quality.

The Tuff & Needle queen mattress is like sleeping at home.

Great propane furnace, as well as roof AC and heat strips.

Suburban on demand, hot water heater, that works incredibly.

The Galley is large enough for one person to cook, while one person sits on the bench and chats.

Because I did a fair amount of Boondocking I upgraded the electrical system with 2-100 amp lithium batteries and a 2000 Watt inverter. This upgrade gives me the freedom to stay out indefinitely. It also lets me use the microwave and other appliances like my vacuum and espresso maker when boondocking. I have a 200 Watt suitcase, solar panel that keeps the batteries topped off. This was a $3500 upgrade.

Importantly, this unit was always housed inside a large garage, with the exception of the last five months. I moved to New Mexico and rented a covered space. But it’s just not the same as a garage.

I have taken one to three trips in this unit every year since I owned it, except for two years that I did not travel.

It also has new tires, but not because the old ones were worn out, but because they were five years old, and they recommend changing them at five years, even if they still have good tread.
