This beautiful trailer has been well taken care of and has some very desirable upgrades.
The 26 RB Twin was the only model Airstream made with a single combined bathroom and shower for increased privacy and spaciousness in both the bathroom and the shower. The shower head has been upgraded to a more water-conserving version.
The twin beds offer more space in both length and width for each person and provide a longer hallway for easier maneuvering inside the trailer. One of the beds has been upgraded to multi-layered latex foam mattress pads and 2 extra inches of width for a disabled veteran with back problems – it’s very comfy. (The original Airstream provided mattress is also available.) The other bed has a latex foam mattress pad on top of the standard Airstream mattress for added comfort.
As the pictures show, the U-dinette can be easily converted into a large sleeping area for multiple children or 2 adults.
The trailer has the upgraded microwave/convection oven installed.
Both LED TVs, the Blue Ray player, and the sound system work properly.
The AC has a soft-start relay enabling it to run with a much lower-powered generator, or even off the upgraded Lithium battery and Victron inverter system.
As already mentioned, the battery bank has been upgraded to a 400 Amp Lithium battery bank (4 x 105 amp Lion Energy UT 1300 BT batteries) coupled with a Victron Multi Plus 3000 inverter that can run the entire trailer off battery for an extended period of time. It also has a Victron BMV battery monitor and Multi Control panel installed.
Coupled with the inverter is a Hughes Autoformer voltage booster that can adjust for low voltage at electric hookup campsites to avoid damage to sensitive electronics in the trailer. Included is also a Hughes Power Watchdog surge protector. Rounding out the electrical upgrades is a Sterling Power BB1260 DC to DC charger (with Andersen connector cable) that will fully charge the battery bank from the tow vehicle’s alternator while driving so you arrive at your campsite with full batteries, or you can recharge your batteries from the tow vehicle while boondocking if you don’t have a generator.
Included with the trailer will be a never-used auxiliary gray/black water tank, sewer hoses, and elbows. The black water tank on this trailer has never been used for true black water use (only #1 in the toilet and dishwater while boondocking to maximize tank space).
Also included will be leveling wedges, a tire changing wedge, X-chocks, Fastway chocks, a sewer hose “slinky”, and an Equalizer weight-distributing anti-sway hitch system coupled with a Shocker Hitch. This combination has provided the smoothest towing experience we’ve ever had.
If you plan on boondocking and are interested in an auxiliary water tank and pump system for the pickup bed, we can negotiate including that and a brand new sewer pump for pumping gray or black water into the auxiliary sewer tank while in the pickup bed. The freshwater tank has worked fabulously for refilling the trailer tank and as a shower after paddleboarding and tubing.
