We’ve only had one warranty repair, replacement of our electric tongue jack due to a burned out motor, which was resolved right after we purchased the Airstream in 2020. In late 2022, we pro-actively had a general inspection, they went through the standard service checklist and gave us a clean bill of health. Starting 2023 we only took out the Airstream for short local trips due to my wife getting a new job which requires intense travel (this is also the reason why we are selling). The tires still have plenty of life, the (2) deep cycle batteries are in good health and kept on a trickle charge, and we follow all the best practices for winterizing and regular upkeep. The interior cushions are in great shape, they have been treated by Permaguard, very easy to clean. The exterior was treated with a Cilijet, ceramic coating, which is incredible at protecting the aluminum shell and it makes maintenance simple. The coating allows you to hand buff scuff marks easily and we typically just use distilled water and micro fiber towels to clean. We’ve never had any issues with any of the major components such as awnings, water heater, furnace, air conditioners, appliances etc.. There is a small learning curve for operating and maintaining an Airstream but with this model, it’s been a pretty easy and low maintenance experience.
