We are selling our beloved 2021 Bambi 16RB “Thumper” and moving up to a larger Airstream. We cared for her meticulously; she’s in great condition and also converted to lithium batteries. We are the original owners and there is one year left on the factory warranty. She has been on a couple of trips out West (Grand Tetons, Rocky Mountains) and otherwise we have camped locally around Minnesota.

The unit included the 90W factory rooftop solar option. However, we love boondocking in remote areas and quickly discovered that even with solar the setup couldn’t provide enough power for longer trips and working remotely. So, we’ve upgraded our Bambi to lithium and with adequate sun exposure it can operate for long intervals without an electrical hookup.

Upgrades also include: a Bluetooth battery usage monitor, and an additional separate solar controller for plug-in solar panels. Also, we added a 500W inverter for powering computers, monitors, and Starlink. We installed only premium Victron equipment and monitoring is integrated on a single smart phone app. There is also a power tongue jack (no cranking). She is ready to go for any on/off-grid excursion.

The 2021 Bambi was the first year with composite flooring (no-squeak/rot), a tankless water heater, and an all-electric refrigerator. All lighting is LED. We never used the factory bedding and pillows, so these are all new. Thumper has been lovingly cared for and Walburnized (waxed) twice a season. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
