With just 38,843 miles, the coach is in excellent condition, still under the Mercedes engine and power train warranties. It has lots of upgrades including 4WD, auto hydraulic levelers, rooftop solar and upgraded lithium batteries. It’s a joy on the road (my wife loves to drive) and easier to park than you might think. We’ve had no issues, even in Starbucks parking lots. It fits nicely in a single parking space if you can back in over grass or other open area. We’ve rarely had to use the 4WD capability, but it’s nice when you need it. Also, this is the GT design with larger galley, interior is Modern Greige.
We’ve done several cross-country trips including a little boondocking. We’ve also parked outside art fairs all day and found that the roof-top solar and lithium batteries were able to keep the fridge and freezer cold without issue.
One of the greatest things about touring in a Mercedes Sprinter is the Adaptive Cruise Control. On highways and even smaller roads you can set a speed and just drive with both feet flat on the floor. Changing speed by 5mph is just one click on the steering wheel toggle. You can’t believe how much more relaxing it is to drive this way. And once you pull into your RV park for the night, all you need to do is plug in the 30amp power and push one button to activate the hydraulic levelers which work flawlessly. Emptying gray and black water tanks is also very easy, only takes a few minutes. Drain lines do not need to stay connected while you are in camp.
Living in a coach like this is great for two people. The galley with two-burner gas cooktop and microwave is excellent. There are seven storage drawers which have been plenty for us. We also keep a small Weber BBQ in the rear “garage” (see photos) that runs off the main LP tank. The lounge area in the rear is very comfortable and the TV works well. We installed a Pepwave mobile router that connects to cellular data with its own SIM card like a phone. We watch Apple TV in the lounge as if we were at home. We also installed a Bluetooth transmitter that sends the TV audio to the Sony head unit above the dash so we can listen to the good stereo speakers in the lounge area. There is a second TV (not pictured) behind the driver’s seat along with a mount for the articulating table. Front seats rotate to face the living area of the coach.
The bathroom is cozy, but it all works fine. The shower is hot and the wrap-around curtain keeps the door area dry. Also, the exhaust fan in the bath ceiling does a great job when you need it.
For sleeping, the rear lounge sofa folds down and two side ottomans slide in to make a queen-size (or maybe a bit wider) bed which is surprisingly comfortable. Ventilation is very good via the small windows on either side, especially if the front main exhaust fan is running on low. All the windows have power shades that are easily adjusted and manual shades for the windshield and driver/passenger windows. There are also eight upper storage bins for clothes and incidentals.
We are no smoking, no pets people.
If you would like to learn or see more, just email and we will send a PDF brochure with more pictures. We can also arrange a time to talk on the phone to answer all your questions. And for what it’s worth, original sticker was $216,396.
You should come see the coach, but we are also willing to deliver it post-sale anywhere west of the Mississippi.
