Excellent Condition. Maintained with care. No scratches or dings. We store in a large covered storage area.
We have not needed to take it in for repairs but it is still under the Airstream 3 year manufacturer’s warranty as well as the Platinum Level Extended 6 Year Warranty (transferable) if any issue arises.
We love this beautiful Airstream but we are upgrading to a larger Airstream as family has moved closer to join us.
We camp a few times a year (mainly spring and fall) and we camp locally so we have had no long pulls. Most well under 100 miles so the tires do not have noticeable tread wear. We are careful about maintaining proper tire inflation and checking lug torque. We have never had a flat tire. (Tire pressure: Winter=76 ; Summer=70 (to allow for heat expansion). 80 psi can be too jarring when pulling. We have had no popped or loose rivets. We have had no pets or smoking in the trailer. All smoky or greasy cooking is done outside so there are no cooking odors in curtains and fabric.
Locks and seals are lubricated and well maintained. Front door is solid with no hinge wobble. We maintain proper tank health with HAPPY CAMPERS RV Holding Tank Treatment and Thetford RV Toilet Seal Lube and Conditioner. We have never had any tank issues. We keep all locks well maintained with 3M Silicone Dry Lubricant and the window, door and storage gaskets maintained and protected with 303 Aerospace Protectant –. We winterize properly while in storage by blowing out our lines, putting antifreeze in tanks and moisture control in trailer.
When we bought the Airstream new we purchased every upgrade option available ($6,825) except rear hatch option (which we did not want because we prop up pillows in that area for Movie Night).
We have the following features and upgrades
In 2022 Airstream started with one piece seamless composite flooring which eliminates floor rot issues and a 50 amp smart plug (which we love). Both of these were must haves for us and is why we waited to purchase a 2022 Model.
Master Bedroom Configurations 2- Twin XL Beds* (34” x 80”) 9″ deep memory foam mattresses. Extremely comfortable, more room for changing clothes and easy to get to the bathroom at night. Also gives you 2 extra storage bays on the exterior. Mattress pads were used from day one to maintain mattress freshness.
50 AMP Service Dual A/C with Heat Pump (15,000 and 13,500 BTU)
2- AGM batteries (100 amp hr each). The Power Converter has a switch feature that makes it compatible with both Lead Acid and Lithium-Ion batteries should you choose to go with lithium batteries.
Factory installed 180 Watt Solar Package including 2- 90 Watt Solar Panels. The Inverter (Progressive Dynamics 1000 Watt PD1610J) can work with 12V lithium batteries also.
Convection Microwave Oven Upgrade
The TV antenna on the roof pulls in a lot of channels but we added a Roku Streambar 4K Streaming Media Player to the TV for HBO, Hulu and Netflix for movie night. Great sound and picture. We camp in our local State Park which has lousy wifi. The Roku works with our mobile phones wifi “mobile hotspot” feature.
Awning Package (added Awnings on Back and Ends)- Awning are manual, easy, and problem free (unlike power awnings). Awnings have no mold. We are careful to dry after every campout and our Airstream is kept in covered storage.
